PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hammer having a handle for supporting a metallic head part which can keep its fixed shape over a long period of time, and having high strength. SOLUTION: A handle part 2 of a hammer A is formed of glass fiber, the upper part of the handle part 2 is covered with a substantially cylindrical cover 3 formed of aluminum, the covered upper part of the handle part 2 is pressed in a fitting hole of a metal-made hammer head part 1, and a gap between the upper part of the handle part 2 and the fitting hole is filled with resin and the resin is solidified.
