DOUBLE ENDED GRINDING MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double ended grinding machine capable of maintaining a section between a pair of rotary grinding wheels to predetermined interval and parallelism without being affected by the rigidity and thermal distortion of a base to grind both end faces of a workpiece with high precision. SOLUTION: A pair of wheel spindle stocks 31 supporting the rotary grinding wheels 36 are attached onto the base 21 through a storage case 22 so as to suspend them, and both rotary grinding wheels 36 are opposingly arranged at an interval. Motors for rotation 38 are directly connected with both rotary grinding wheels 36 to rotate the rotary grinding wheels 36 by these motors 38. The workpiece W is carried in between opposing end faces of both rotary grinding wheels 36 in this condition to grind both end faces of the workpiece W.
