PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a marker pen capable of making a stable ink supply for a long time. SOLUTION: This marker pen 10 is structured of a barrel 19 having an ink reservoir part 21 for reserving ink and a valve mechanism which has a pen tip 11 mounted, in a freely sliding manner, in the barrel direction at the lower end of the barrel 19 and is composed of a valve body 16 and a valve seat 17 between the ink reservoir part 21 and the pen tip 11. The valve mechanism is activated to open a valve by the push-up action of the valve body 16 following the upward movement of the pen tip 11. Thus the ink supply from the ink reservoir part 21 to the pen tip 11 is achieved. In this marker pen 10 which works as described, a pen tip holder 12 for retaining the pen tip 11 in such a way that the upper end face of the pen tip 11 is covered, is provided and when the pen tip 11 is moved upward to push up the valve body 16, the valve body 16 is pushed up by means of the pen tip holder 12 instead of the pen tip 11. |
