PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrying apparatus freely and easily changed in fitting position corresponding to a major design change and reduced in size, and a production system using it. SOLUTION: A carrying apparatus 22 is installed in a linear way 30 extending in a designated X-direction. The carrying apparatus 22 is provided with a mover 31 capable of supporting a part holding member and moving along the linear way 30, a motor 33 for driving the mover 31, and a motor fitting member 34 for fitting the motor 33 to the linear way 30. The motor fitting member 34 is pressed and fixed to the linear way 30. The mover 31 is provided with a rack 44, a gear 78 is provided on an output shaft of the motor 33, and the motor 33 is fitted in the state of being extended in the Y-direction to the motor fitting member 34 so that the gear 78 and the rack 44 mesh with each other.
