PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an escalator device having a small number of part items and being simple in structure. SOLUTION: The escalator device 1 includes balustrade panels 3 placed upright on either side of steps 2 and supported and secured to a main frame 8 serving as a base; a skirt guard 5 provided oppositely to sides of the steps 2 with a gap therebetween; a light 6 provided on the upper edge of the skirt guard 5 for illuminating the steps 2; and an inner deck 7 connected to the balustrade panel 3 at one edge and to the light 6 at the other and provided above the light 6 to cover the light 6. The light 6 has a lamp 10 which emits light to illuminate nearby areas, a light case 11 having the lamp 10 provided therein and having an open part 11a on the steps 2 side, and a translucent light cover 12 provided at the open part 11a. The light case 11 is secured to the main frame 8 and supports the inner deck 7 and the skirt guard 5. Thus, the necessity of support members for supporting the inner deck 7 and the skirt guard 5 can be avoided.
