PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plug for a liquid container made of paper with which cooling water does not enter the inside of the plug from a foot of a cap during a shower cooling process after the container is filled with contents at a high temperature. SOLUTION: The plug comprises a spout 200 and a cap 100. The spout comprises a position guide rib 212 provided on an outer periphery of an upper surface of a base ring 210, and a pour-out cylinder standing on an inner periphery of the upper surface. The cap has a step provided on an inner peripheral rim at a lower end of a peripheral wall 120, and a contact seal ring 122 having a vertical cross section of an approximate inverted right-angled triangle with a vertical surface inside and with an acute vertex angle hanging. When the cap is screwed with and mounted on the cap, the contact seal ring hanging from the inner periphery at the lower end of the peripheral wall of the cap comes into slide contact on a gradient outer peripheral surface with an inner peripheral surface on an upper part of the position guide rib provided on the outer periphery of the upper surface of the base ring of the spout to be fitted therewith. Then a tip of the contact seal ring of the cap is brought into tight contact with the outer periphery of the upper surface of the base ring of the spout. |
