PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high quality, print noise free image output by reducing trouble (crosstalk) due to interference between neighbors even if ink flies from a slit-like opening, to realize high recording speed while reducing energy by using print energy efficiently and to obtain a stabilized image output by increasing the meniscus holding force. SOLUTION: Charges are prevented from spreading on the surface of meniscus and ink is held surely at the time of printing by providing a meniscus control sheet 16 having protrusions and recesses corresponding to the pitch of recording electrodes between an upper plate 10 and a lower plate 13 constituting a recording head 22 thereby forming protrusions and recesses on the surface of meniscus.
