PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press-working method of sheet metal by which only one-side pressed article is accurately press-formed with a press device for forming a pair of right and left pressed articles from one sheet metal. SOLUTION: In the press-working method of the sheet metal with the press device which is provided with a lifter with which the sheet metal is supported by upward projecting from the top surface of a lower die by being energized with a spring and with which a pair of the right and left pressed articles are formed from one sheet metal with an upper die and the lower die which are approximately symmetric and respectively integrated, in this press-working method of the sheet metal, by using a one-side sheet metal Ph for either of right and left one-side pressed articles Bh having right-to-left width length Wh which is a little larger than a half of the right-to-left width length of an overall sheet metal for a pair of both-side right and left integrated pressed article, positioning by moving the one-side sheet metal Ph to either side of the right and the left on the top surface of the lower die in the state where the spring is removed and the lifters 5, 6 are lowered to the lowermost position and lowering the upper die 2, the one-side pressed article Bh is formed.
