PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document conveyance device capable of improving the operability without impairing a function for preventing the drop of a document after reading. SOLUTION: When the document S' after reading is discharged by a paper discharge roller 14 in a conveyance part 40 of an image reading device and a paper discharge sensor 15 detects a rear end of the document S' after reading, the paper discharge operation is once stopped, and when an insertion sensor 3 detects that a document S to be read is newly inserted while the rear end of the document S' after reading is held in the paper discharge roller 14, the document S is conveyed by a predetermined distance by a feed roller 13, and then the conveyance operation is once stopped. After this, when the preset time elapses, the paper discharge roller 14 is driven to forcedly discharge the document S' after reading, and the feed roller 13 is driven to resume the conveyance operation of the document S to be read. |
