PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly rotate a sidewall which is subsequently raised approximately vertically when setting up and initially laid toward a bottom when folding, thus improving workability in setting up and folding a folding container. SOLUTION: A vertically extending elongate strip-formed protrusion 4 and a mounting means 5 onto the protrusion are formed on an internal surface of a sidewall 2 which is initially raised approximately vertically facing a side face 3a of a sidewall 3 which is subsequently raised approximately vertically when setting up the folding container from a folded state into a box shape. Further, a width of the sidewall 3 to be subsequently raised approximately vertically is reduced by twice a thickness w4 of the strip-formed protrusion.
