PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for laminating strip-shaped rubber materials by which the strip-shaped rubber materials are joined together by precisely laminating the terminal parts of the strip-shaped rubber materials in such a state that the terminal parts are butt-fitted to each other, on a molding drum and the molding drum to be used in the laminating method. SOLUTION: Each of drum segments 3a is structured so that its ascending/descending action can be independently controlled by ascending/descending means 4 such as an ascending/ descending cylinder or the like arranged in the molding drum 3. Each of the drum segments 3a can be structurally arranged so that the individual drum segments 3a are sequentially ascendable/descendable from one end to the other, in the width direction of the molding drum 3 or the drum segments 3a are sequentially ascendable/descendable, from the drum segment 3a in the center, toward both end parts of the molding drum 3 under the control of an ascending/descending action of each of the means 4 by a control device not shown in Fig. Further, in a recessed part S of the molding drum 3 to be formed by the descent of the drum segment 3a, a laminating device 6 which contact-bonds and laminates together the terminal parts Wa of the strip-shaped rubber materials W, in such a state that the parts Wa are butt-fitted to each other, from the upper and lower sides of the parts Wa, is introduced from the side of the molding drum 3.
