PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for driving a film support, with which the arch height of a support can always be made constant without being influenced by soil hardness and abrasion of a nonslip also used for cushioning attached to an arm plate can be prevented. SOLUTION: In this apparatus 1 for driving a film support equipped with main arms 21 which are in parallel with an axle 19 and is arranged rotatably around a shaft, a pair of gripping means 22 which are installed at the tips of the main arms 21 rotatably and separately in the axial direction, grip both end parts 6 of a film support material 3 and lower the tips of both the ends, position retaining means 23 which are arranged between the gripping means 22 and a stationary system and rotate the gripping means 22 according to the rotations of the main arms 21 so as to keep the positions of the gripping means 22 constant, the apparatus is equipped with pressing arms 24 which are extended from the vicinities of the tips of the main arms 21 backward in the rotation direction and presses and holds the top part 25 of the film support material 3 curved in an arch form when the film support material 3 is driven into the surface of the earth.
