<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clutch apparatus for a washing machine by which rotary motive energy is made to be intermittent through the use of an electromagnetic force, which is transmitted from a driving motor to a basket shaft. SOLUTION: The washing machine is provided with a spin basket 15 stored in a tub 13, a pulsator 29 arranged in it, a riving motor 35 disposed at the lower part of the tub, a pulsator shaft 31 which is directly connected to the pulsator and transmitting rotary force from the driving motor, a basket shaft 17 connected to the spin basket 15 from the outside and a clutch means 40 for transmitting the electric energy of the driving motor 35 to the basket shaft 17 or cutting it off. The clutch means is constituted by providing a coupling member 41 for transmitting the rotary force of the driving motor 35 to the basket shaft 17 and a solenoid actuator 51 for giving electromagnetic repulsive force so as to separate the coupling member from the rotator of the driving motor.</p> |
