<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contrast medium container convenient to use in barium enema. SOLUTION: The contrast medium container for use in barium enema includes a body having a mouth and adapted to accommodate a contrast medium, and an administration cap which can be removably attached to the mouth. The container body has at its bottom a stowable hanger member for suspending the container in an inverted position where the mouth of the container body faces down, and the container body also includes a self-standing means for standing the container in an upright position where the mouth faces up. The container body is formed of semi-rigid plastic walls which can be crushed flat by negative pressure produced when the contrast medium exits the container in the inverted position, and which can be naturally restored to their original shape when atmospheric pressure is created within the container. The administration cap includes a first nozzle connectable to a contrast medium injection tube, and a second nozzle connectable to an air pump tube.</p> |
