PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a vehicular steering device so as to be capable of inexpensively absorbing a shaft directional load acting on a steering wheel. SOLUTION: This vehicular steering device has a steering column 4 for rotatably supporting a steering shaft 6 for installing the steering wheel 5 in an end part, a support bracket 3A having a groove part 3Aa, and supporting the steering column 4 by a vehicle body 2, and an energy absorbing mechanism 20 for absorbing energy when the shaft directional load acts on the steering column 4. In the energy absorbing mechanism 20, a bush 10 is arranged in the groove part 3Aa, and the support bracket 3A is installed on the vehicle body 2 by a bolt 7 via the bush 10. When the steering column 4 moves in the shaft direction by this shaft directional load, the bush 10 is sheared, and the support bracket 3A moves in the shaft direction along the groove part 3Aa to absorb the energy. |
