PURPOSE: An actuator device of a hard disk drive is provided to maintain uniform amplitude in all areas by maintaining a regular flying height of a head on a disk by a magnetic force, thereby improving the performance of the hard disk drive. CONSTITUTION: A metal bar(14) is attached to an actuator arm(13) to maintain a regular flying height of a write/read magnetic head(12) installed at the front end of the actuator arm. A flat plate(15) is formed at the lower part or an upper part of the actuator arm, having an electromagnet(16). The head installed at the front end of the actuator arm, forming a slider gap. If the actuator enters a head contactor, the electromagnet installed at the flat plate generates a magnetic force pulling the metal bar of the actuator arm, so that a head slider achieves a target height and then maintains the height while searching data.
