FIELD: structural members, applicable in long-sized bearing structures of composite material. SUBSTANCE: structural member of composite material has a reinforcing cage, consisting of layers of the intersecting longitudinal and lateral fibres and longitudinal fibres between them, placed in a continuous medium of polymeric binder that strengthens it. It is obtained by broaching through a die. The outer layer of intersecting longitudinal and lateral fibres of the reinforcing cage is made continuous in the points of transition around the profile side edges to the opposite sides of the surfaces of its wall with arrangement of the longitudinal joint unit in it on one of the lateral faces of the profile wall with parallel arrangement of layers on the profile wall, with the volume relation of the intersecting longitudinal and lateral fibres of the outer layer being within 1:1-1:50, the volume relation of the longitudinal fibres with the intersecting longitudinal and lateral fibres of the outer layer being within 1:1-50:1, with the volume relation of all the fibres of the reinforcing cage with polymeric binder being within 1:1- 1:0.20.
