SUBSTANCE: method for making rolled rods and small bars with mean fluctuation of profile and mean pitch Sk of irregularities comprises steps of hot rolling of steel in rolls with grooved passes; making roll grooved passes with surface roughness degree having parameters of mean fluctuation of profile and mean pitch Sr of irregularities determined in dependance upon rolling rate and properties of rolled material. Invention provides manufacture of rolled products with desired parameters of microgeometry of their surface due to normalization of surface roughness degree of roll grooved passes.
