FIELD: aviation, transport hovercraft, automobiles convertible into flying vehicles. SUBSTANCE: power plant ensures multi-functional mission of flying vehicle, compensation of negative effect of shift of center of gravity (weight unbalance) in different flight modes of flying vehicle enhancing its economical efficiency, maneuverability and safety. Proposed power plant includes inlet unit, drive engine connected with birotatory fan located in main air duct in airframe chamber for swinging in plane of symmetry of flying vehicle and control system; inlet unit is supersonic; drive engine and birotatory fan form main unit of mixed power plant located in main air duct for swinging in any plane relative to inlet unit and airframe; kinematic linkage of mixed power plant with flying vehicle airframe is effected through attachment system making power plant movable relative to center of mass of airframe and ensuring transmission of thrust from mixed power plant to airframe. Power plant includes afterburner chambers and propulsive jet nozzles mounted after main air passage of flying vehicle which may be arranged at any point of airframe; provision is also made for units which make it possible to quickly locate and eliminate gyroscopic effect of fan taking into account different degrees of freedom of gyroscope axis through prompt redistribution of power of drive engine among variable-pitch propellers. Proposed plant ensures multi-functional mission of flying vehicle combining functions of hovercraft and aircraft at considerably improved properties, such as stability, weight balance and reliability.
