PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive control system for an electric vehicle enhanced in energy efficiency in speed control of a speed-sensorless electric vehicle. SOLUTION: For drive-controlling the electric vehicle based on a speed- operated value of the electric vehicle obtained by a speed-operating means 6, there provided an input means 7 for inputting a target speed at constant speed driving; a coasting speed estimate means 11 for obtaining a coasting speed estimated value by setting the speed-operated value right before entering a coasting state as an initial value; and a current-command generation means 1 for generating a current command according to a deviation between the target speed and the coasting speed estimated value. When the deviation goes out of a prescribed range, the current command is given for a short time, and a power converter 3 is restarted intermittently while the electric vehicle runs in a coasting state. The coasting speed estimate means is composed of a switch 8, a running resistance operator 9 and an integrator 10. When a restart command is put in an OFF state, the coasting speed estimated value is obtained by integrating a reduced speed corresponding to the coasting speed estimated value by setting the speed estimated vale right before the restart command is put in the OFF state as the initial value. |
