<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photo-electric conversion device which is low in manufacturing cost and high in reliability. SOLUTION: A large number of certain conductivity granular crystal semiconductors are arranged and bonded on a board provided with one of electrode layers on its surface an insulator layer is made to fill up gaps between the granular crystal semiconductors, an opposite conductivity semiconductor layer is provided on the granular crystal semiconductors, and the other electrode is connected to the opposite conductivity semiconductor layer for the formation of a photo-electric conversion device. The above granular crystal semiconductors are formed of silicon, and the above insulator layer is formed of glass material containing 1 to 20 wt.% tin oxide, so that the insulator layer which is superior, capable of filling up gaps between the granular crystal semiconductors and preventing cracks, foaming, and abnormal deposition can be formed, and the photo-electric conversion device of high reliability can be obtained.</p> |
