PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector of a compact structure which can be used commonly for two kinds of counterpart connectors with different widths for low resolution and high resolution. SOLUTION: A partitioning part 4A depressed inward is formed at both top and bottom parts of a shell 4 of a receptacle connector 1. Either of plug connectors 11, 12 with two different widths W1 , W2 is selected to connect to the receptacle connector 1.
