PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor, for which insulation treatment work is easy, which avoids lowering of the space factor for winding, and whose magnetic loss is less even in high-speed rotation. SOLUTION: Although a main-part shape of an insulation end plate 3 is made approximately equal to a slot shape of a core, and the dimension is set not so as to protrude thin insulation plates 2 on the slot side, the position of the insulation plate 3 cannot be restricted and the thin insulation plate 2 cannot be held, as they are, the insulation end plate 3 is positioned by fitting the projections 3a into holes 1a, and further the thin insulation plate 2 is held between end surfaces of stator pieces 1 by the insulation end plates 3. With such a configuration, the insulation treatment for the stator piece is completed, and then, the stator is completed by winding coil into the slot part in array, and by connecting in ring a plurality of stator pieces wound with coil.
