PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shut-off device which varies the confirmation period of a battery voltage after detecting a drop of the battery voltage. SOLUTION: If a voltage drop in a battery power supply means 2 is detected by a voltage detection means 16, the measuring period is varied by a period- variable means 17; and whether the drop of the battery voltage occurs or not is discriminated by driving the voltage detection means 16 at a varied period; and if the battery voltage is normal, the previous detection of the drop of the battery voltage is discriminated as an error.
