PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the technology which enables to start editing before completely obtaining image data for digital printing of a large file size. SOLUTION: A picture processing equipment comprises an image processing substrate 4 for outputting image data for digital printing, and a personal computer 5 provided with a function to edit the image data for digital printing. The image processing substrate 4 creates pre-image data of a small file size based on the image data for digital printing and sends it to the personal computer 5, and thereafter, starts transmission of image data of a large file size to the personal computer 5. The personal computer 5 starts editing based on the pre-image data before completely obtaining the image data for digital printing, and after completely obtaining the image data for digital printing, continues editing based on the obtained image data for digital printing.
