PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a data transmission device and its method which transmit data at a proper speed without jitter. SOLUTION: A crystal oscillator 2f is used to generate an independent audio clock on the side of a reception part 2-2, and overs and shorts of reception data on the side of the reception part 2-2, which are brought about by making a transmission part 2-1 and the reception part 2-2 asynchronous, are prevented by flow control after the generated audio clock is made asynchronous with a clock CK on the side of the transmission part 2-1 to avoid the occurrence of jitter, and thus serial data can be transmitted at a proper speed without jitter.
