SHADOW MASK STRUCTURE, ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD AND CATHODE-RAY TUBE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode-ray tube that can stably display an image without causing the degradation of image quality by improving the structure of a shadow mask structure. SOLUTION: The cathode-ray tube is provided with the shadow mask structure 4 constituted of an effective face 5 of the shadow mask structure 4 and a mask frame 8 bonded to a skirt part 6 of the shadow mask structure for supporting the skirt part 6, in an envelop comprising a panel 1 and a funnel 2. In the shadow mask structure 4, a deformation restraining member 7 with a larger thermal expansion coefficient than the mask frame 8 is bonded and arranged between the outer periphery of the skirt part 6 and the inner periphery of the mask frame 8 of the shadow mask structure 4, and the deformation of the effective face 5 of the shadow mask structure 4 is prevented by the thermally expanding operation of the deformation restraining member 7.
