摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To actualize high picture quality with simple and inexpensive constitution and to enable adaptation to environmental changes, frequency characteristic of a timing signal, variation of gamma characteristics of a liquid crystal display corresponding to the luminance of a back light, and variance of gamma characteristics generated in the manufacturing process of a liquid crystal display. SOLUTION: When gamma corrections of 8-bit red data DR, green data DG, and blue data DB are made, a disclosed driving method for a liquid crystal display obtains 1st correction red data DRG1 , 1st correction green data DGG1 , and 1st correction blue data DBG1 , each composed of 10 bits, to which information changing gradations repeatedly by the red data DR, green data DG, and blue data DB. According to those data DRG1 , DGG1 , and DBG1 , frame rate control is so performed that a data red signal, a data green signal, and a data blue signal changing the gradations by the red data DR, green data DG, and blue data DB are generated and applied to data electrodes of a color liquid crystal display 1 in order.
