PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor having excellent photosensitivity characteristics, electrification characteristics and stability of such characteristics in repetitive use and having also excellent wear resistance, mechanical performance and electrical performance free of image defects due to active species such as ozone and NOx. SOLUTION: In the electrophotographic photoreceptor having a photosensitive layer containing an electric charge generating material and an electric charge transporting material on an electrically conductive substrate, the electric charge transporting material is a butadiene compound of formula [A], a specified polycarbonate resin of formula [B] is used by <50% of the total weight of resins, a compound having a hindered phenol structural unit of formula [C] and a compound having a hindered amine structural unit of formula [D] are dispersed in two ore more binder resins and the photosensitive layer is formed by a dip coating method.
