PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constitution, which efficiently optically amplifies an optical signal in a broadband in an optical transmission system, for transmitting and simultaneously distributing the amplified signal to a plurality of output ports. SOLUTION: The optical transmission system comprises a broadband optical transmitter 10 which includes a broadband optical source 11 and a broadband optical modulator 12, and optical filter 20, an optical amplifier 2, a transmitter 3, a wavelength router 4 and optical receivers 5. The broadband optical transmitter 10 outputs optical signals over a wide wavelength band to the filter 20, which transmits and outputs only those optical signals of wavelengths in a branching wavelength band of the router 4 among the optical signals. The router 4 simultaneously distributes the optical signals transmitted via the transmitter 3 and outputs them from different output ports all at the same time, according to the wavelengths of the optical signals. Optical receivers 5-1 to 5-n convert the transmitted optical signals distributed by the router 4 into electrical signals. |
