<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent synchronization errors, concerning a quasi-correlation value in the generation of synchronizing signals. SOLUTION: The OFDM apparatus comprises, at least a symbol mapper for dispersing transmission data into a plurality of orthogonal carriers with their frequency components partly overlapped to generate specified signals to be modulated and an inverse Fourier transformation means for multiplexing the signals which are to be modulated in time slots to output OFDM signals in a transmission system; and a Fourier transformation means for generating a plurality of orthogonal carriers from the OFDM signals received, a symbol demapper for performing a specified demodulating process and a synchronizing signal generator in a receiving system. The synchronization signal generator comprises an SNR-estimation means for estimating the SNR every carrier, a reference signal generator for generating, based on the estimation result, a reference signal having the same frequency components as that of the carrier which has a specified value of SNR or higher and a correlator for outputting the correlated waveform of specified received OFDM signals with a reference signal generator output signal.</p> |
