PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make ensure operation for a switching device, while minimizing the rotation angle of the handle in coping with the increase in the width of a handle cover. SOLUTION: In this switch device, a movable piece 41, provided with a movable contact 44, is provided rotatably on a switch body 11. A coil spring S is housed in a spring housing part 56 provided on the rockable handle 12. A U-shaped bent spring receiving metal 61 is connected to the tip of the coil spring S. Guide parts 64 provided at the tips of a pair of arm parts 63 on both sides of the receiving metal 61 are allowed to abut against a guide contact part 46 provided in the longitudinal middle part of the movable piece 41. The coil spring S is fitted to the spring fitting part 65 of the receiving metal 61.
