PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce circuit scale in a sound encoding device of a plurality of channels. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a CPU core 2 for performing encoding processing except product sum operation by dividing sound encoding processing into product sum operating processing and other encoding processing and a product sum operating circuit 3 only for product sum operating processing. While encoding processing of a certain channel is performed by the CPU core 2, product sum operating processing of the other channel is performed by the product sum operating circuit 3. Thus, it is not necessary to provide the CPU core of large scale for each channel so that the entire circuit scale can be reduced.
