PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To down load menu information provided by an apparatus installed in a town or a department house for shopping, etc., from the apparatus and interactively draw out the information. SOLUTION: Picture data of operating menus transmitted from a controlled apparatus being an information providing apparatus are received by a data receiver 15, stored in a memory 18 and displayed on a display 12. One touches a touch coordinate detector 12 in connection with operating buttons, etc., on the displayed picture to input coordinate data which are then sent to the controlled apparatus via a data transmitter 14. The controlled apparatus provides information connected with coordinates of the touch coordinate data on the displayed picture, based thereon.
