PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome a problem on illumination capacity determined by the length of a circumference because light is emitted from a circumference part due to the annular shape of a circular fluorescent lamp suitable for a Japanese- style room. SOLUTION: A glass tube 1 of this fluorescent lamp is formed in spiral shape and arranged on the whole surface surrounded by the circumference to emit light. The illumination capacity is thereby enlarged.
