PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide gimbals for a magnetic head capable of contributing to the improvement of a shock resistance characteristic in a magnetic disk drive. SOLUTION: A head mounting part 22 on which a magnetic head 21 is mounted and an arm mounting part 23 mounted on a magnetic head carriage 10 are connected through a pair of gimbals connecting parts 24. The pair of gimbals connecting parts 24 respectively form the center of gravity of the magnetic head 21 at the positions on a straight line that goes through a point projected on the head mounting part 22 in the both side parts of the head mounting part 22 along the seek direction of the magnetic head 21.
