PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk cartridge free from intrusion of fine dirt, dust, etc. SOLUTION: In this disk cartridge 1, a disk-shaped recording medium 3, an inner rotor 4 and a shutter 5 are housed within a cartridge housing 2 formed by having circumferential walls 21a and 22a of upper and lower shells 21 and 22 confront each other, and the shutter 5 is moved between a first position for closing an opening part 6 provided in the shell of the cartridge housing 2 and a second position for releasing the opening part by rotating the inner rotor 4. A crank-shaped first dust intrusion preventing part 11 for preventing dust intrusion through a confronting surface of the circumferential walls 21a and 22a from moving to the disk-shaped recording medium side is provided inside the circumferential walls 21a and 22a of the upper and lower shells 21 and 22. A crank-shaped second dust intrusion preventing part 12 and a recessed and projecting third dust intrusion preventing part 13 for preventing dust intruding through the opening part 6 from moving to the disk-shaped recording medium side are provided at a slidable contact surface between the shells and the shutter.
