PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk drive designed to detect the angle of a movable unit relative to a fixed part, through a simple structure with the small number of component parts, in an optical disk drive equipped with a tilt correction mechanism in which tilt correction is performed by tilting the optical- pickup-mounted movable unit in the radial direction relative to the fixed part. SOLUTION: In the tilt correction mechanism which is equipped with a fixed chassis 1 having a turnable supporting part 2, a movable chassis 3 that is mounted with an optical pickup 5 and rotates around the turnable supporting part, a position detector 6 for detecting a position in the forward and backward direction of the optical pickup, and a stopper 7 for the optical pickup, and which corrects the tilt of the optical pickup by tilting the movable chassis; there are provided a transfer distance detecting means 15 that detects the transfer distance of the optical pickup from the position detection by the position detector until the stoppage of the optical pickup by the stopper, and an inclination detecting means 16 that detects the tilt of the movable chassis relative to the fixed chassis on the basis of the transfer distance detected by the transfer distance detecting means 15.
