PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable information terminal capable of presenting secret information which cannot be understood at a glance without requiring any special interface. SOLUTION: A portable telephone set 6 includes an antenna 12, a radio part 14 which communicates with the outside by radio through the antenna 12, a key operation part 18 consisting of ten-keys and other keys, a bar code generation part 24 which generates a bar code according to key operation at the key operation part 18, a storage part 22 which stores the bar code generated by the bar code generation part 24, a display part 16 which displays the bar code stored in the storage part 22, and a control part 20 which controls the individual parts. When the bar code displayed on the display part 16 is shown to a store clerk, the secret information is read by a bar code reader and settlement is carried out. |
