<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image expander for a conversion code to obtain an expanded image with high image quality at a high-speed by adopting the hierarchical wavelet conversion system. SOLUTION: The image expander for the conversion code refers to an image code having already been wavelet-converted on the basis of an image size designated by a user when expanding the code having already been hierarchical- wavelet-converted into a natural image, obtains a hierarchical number denoting the greatest size among underestimated sizes of the designated expanded image size or the size equal to the designated expanded image size and a hierarchical number denoting the smallest size among overestimated sizes of the designated expanded image size or a just preceding hierarchical number equal to the designated expanded image size, and applies inverse wavelet conversion to hierarchical layers from the uppermost hierarchical layer to the hierarchical layer of hierarchical number + 2 to generate an expanded image.</p> |
