METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ENCODING AND DECODING IMAGE DATA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems of a present condition wherein requirements for techniques of image encoding at high efficiency and with little error with respect to minuteness of the images are not met. SOLUTION: Image data is input (S1010) and classified into a key frame and the other intermediate frames (S1012). A pixel matching is performed between the key frames (S1014), and the matching results are interpolated, thereby producing the virtual key frames and intermediated frames between the key frames (S2016). By taking a difference between this virtual frame and a realistic frame existed actually from the initial stage, the realistic frame is encoded with a few code amount (S2020).
