PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing completion notification system which various electronic devices are applicable for as notification devices and can notify a user more reliably. SOLUTION: A personal computer 100 previously registers the electronic devices of a portable telephone 200, a music reproducing machine 300 or the like to which processing completion is notified with a device-to-be-notified registration processing part 107. When given processing is terminated, a device- to-be-notified selection processing part 105, in accordance with then situation, selects any electronic device from the electronic devices registered with the device-to-be-notified registration processing part 107, and a processing completion information refinement processing part 106 generates processing completion information for the electronic device selected with the device-to-be-notified selection processing part 105. Then, the processing completion information generated with the processing completion information refinement processing part 106 is transmitted to the electronic device selected with the device-to-be- notified selection processing part 105, thereby notifying the user of the processing completion by means of the personal computer 100.
