An impression tool for artificial paving comprises a layer of flexible material (1) with relief patterns on the underside (2) and a second layer of cardboard (3), the upper surface (4) of which forms the visible surface of the tool. An Independent claim is also included for a method for the production of this tool by pressing layer (3) onto layer (1) while cooling the material of (1), so that the two layers (1, 3) adhere to one another by compression when heated.
