<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electron emission device drivable at a low voltage without being influenced by a displacement in manufacturing process, a manufacturing method thereof, and a display device equipped with the electron emission device. SOLUTION: This electron emission device, comprises a glass substrate 1, a cathode electrode 2 formed on the upper surface of the glass substrate 1, a gate electrode 3 formed on the upper surface of the glass substrate 1 beside the cathode electrode 2, a CNT layer 4 formed on the upper surface of the glass substrate 1 to cover the cathode electrode 2, and a CNT layer 4 formed on the upper surface of the glass substrate 1 to cover the gate electrode 3. A minute gap G1 is formed between CNT layer 4 and CNT layer 5. The CNT layers 4 and 5 function as an electron emission layer capable of emitting electrons by the electric field between the cathode electrode 2 and the gate electrode 3.</p> |
