PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a numerical controller having a stored stroke check function on a virtual machine coordinate. SOLUTION: This numerical controller is provided with a virtual coordinate control condition setting area 907 for setting and holding the angle of rotation between a real machine coordinate and a virtual machine coordinate, shift amounts between the real machine coordinate and the virtual machine coordinate, and a condition for switching the real machine coordinate and the virtual machine coordinate, a virtual coordinate control switching judging means 901 for checking the switching condition of the real machine coordinate and the virtual machine coordinate based on the contents set in the virtual coordinate control condition setting area, and a virtual coordinate converting means 902 for executing coordinate conversion between the real machine coordinate and the virtual machine coordinate based on the contents set in the virtual coordinate control condition setting area.
