PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a film of low electrical resistance and manufacture high stability resistance value with the lapse of time being superior, by a coating method. SOLUTION: This transparent conductive film has at least a transparent conductive layer 4 on a support body 1, and the conductive layer 4 is a compressed layer of conductive fine particulates and contains conductive fine particulates surface-treated with an inorganic material. The inorganic material is preferably a silicon compound. The compressed layer of the conductive fine particulates is provided, by applying a dispersion containing the conductive fine particulates surface-treated with the inorganic material on the support body, followed by drying to form a conductive fine particulate containing layer, and by compressing the conductive fine particulate-containing layer.
