PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that soldering property and quality drop when a terminal electrode is damaged and peeled in an electronic component such as a capacitor in a face mounting type and a resistor. SOLUTION: In the electronic component, a terminal electrode is constituted by a thermal spray metallic layer. A plurality of metallic particles different in melting temperatures are mixed in the terminal electrode. The terminal electrode has distribution structure where a mixing rate gradually changes in such a way that the metallic particles having the relatively low melting temperature become an inner side and the metallic particles having the high melting temperature become a surface side. In the manufacturing method of the electronic component, a plurality of metallic materials different in the melting temperatures are set in positions so that they can simultaneously and thermally be sprayed when the terminal electrodes are formed, and the heating temperature of a plurality of metallic materials is gradually raised at the time of thermal spraying so as to thermally spray the metallic material whose melting temperature is relatively low at first. While the metallic material is thermally sprayed, the metallic material with the high melting temperature can thermally be sprayed.
