PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide facsimile equipment by which an optimal communication route can be selected without inputting manually the electronic mail address of an optimal repeater. SOLUTION: Facsimile equipment 20 can be operated as a caller terminal (relay request machine) in an image repeting system and can be connected to a repeater having an image data repeating function. A RAM 7 stores a repeting distribution table 7a containing the electronic mail address of the repeater for each facsimile number of the final destination as shown in Fig. 2. When the final destination is designated and transmission is instructed, a main control part 1 of the facsimile equipment 20 designates the facsimile number of the final destination to the electronic mail address of the repeater stored on the repetition distribution table 7a and transmits electronic mail containing image data (step S44 in a figure 4).
