PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize the power supplied to a heat fixing means and to improve the fixability of a toner image to a sheet. SOLUTION: A laser beam printer 31 is provided with a photosensitive drum 14 which carries the toner image, a rotatable transfer roll 15 which transfers the toner image on the photosensitive drum 14 to the sheet, a sheet carrying driving motor 24 which rotationally drives the transfer roll, a rotatable heat fixing device 18 which fixes the toner image transferred to the sheet on the sheet by heat, a fixing device driving motor 21 which rotationally drives the heat fixing device 18, and a control part 25 which controls rotation of the motors 24 and 21. The control part reduces the rotation speed of the fixing device driving motor until the rear end of the sheet leaves the heat fixing device 18 after leaving the transfer roll. |
