PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display the legend of an arbitrary work contained in a character string of a caption of AV contents. SOLUTION: In step S1, it is decided whether or not a translation mode button is depressed. When it is decided that the button is depressed, a translation mode is set. In step 2, reproduction of an image, a speech and a caption is temporarily stopped. In step 3, selecting operation of words is accepted. In step 4, a nauative text corresponding to a determined word is obtained by referring to a dictionary database, and a nauative text of the word is superposed on an image and displayed on a display. In step 5, it is decided whether or not the translation mode button is depressed. When it is decided that the button is depressed, the processing proceeds to step 6. In step 6, the translation mode is released. That is, the nauative text of the words on which an image is superposed and displayed is eliminated, and the reproduction of an image, a speech and a caption is resumed. |
